By awarding Scholarships, our club hopes to encourage the love of horticulture, along with the preservation of our environment. Awards are paid directly to the university or college

Recipients

The following students will receive scholarships at scholarship luncheon in June, 2025
​
Gianna Cannek, a 2023 scholarship recipient and graduate of Metea Valley High School, is currently a sophomore at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, where she is majoring in Earth and Climate Science. Gianna plans a career in environmental consulting with a specific focus on carbon footprint and pollution.
Jenna Duncan a 2023 and 2024 scholarship recipient and graduate of Neuqua Valley High School, is completing her junior year at the University of Minnesota. Jenna’s major is Environmental Science, Policy, and Management with minors in insect science and German. She studied at the University of Freiburg, Germany in 2024.

Nainika Gupta a graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School, is a 2023 and 2024 scholarship recipient. She will begin her junior year at the University of Colorado, Boulder majoring in Environmental Engineering.
Jason Huang, a Benet Academy graduate and 2022 and 2023 scholarship recipient, is finishing his junior year at Emory University majoring in Environmental Science with a business minor. He spent last summer learning about renewable energy at the School for International Training in Iceland.
Emily Lubek is completing her freshman year at the University of Colorado, Boulder. A graduate of Naperville Central High School and a 2024 scholarship recipient, she has chosen to major in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
Isabelle Nobrega, a 2023 scholarship recipient, is a graduate of Naperville North High School. She is completing her sophomore year at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point majoring in wildlife ecology.
Varsha Parthasarathy, a senior at Naperville North High School will be attending the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign this fall. She plans to study Environmental Engineering, concentrating on public health engineering.
Madeline Walbridge, a graduate of Metea Valley High School received scholarships in 2022, 2023 and 2024. She is entering her senior year at Loyola University, Chicago with a double major in Environmental Policy and Political Science.
