Learn about our scholars and their fields of study.
By awarding Scholarships, our club hopes to encourage the love of horticulture, along with the preservation of our environment. Awards are paid directly to the university or college.
2026 Scholarship
Recipients
The following students will receive scholarships at scholarship luncheon on June 12, 2026.
Gianna Cannek, a 2023 scholarship recipient and graduate of Metea Valley High School, is currently a sophomore at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, where she is majoring in Earth and Climate Science. Gianna plans a career in environmental consulting with a specific focus on carbon footprint and pollution.
Aidan Dwyer, a Neuqua Valley senior, who plans to attend Auburn or Purdue and major in Landscape Architecture.
Julie Hamman, a student at the college of Dupage who is earning certification in Floral Shop Management.
Emily Lubek is completing her freshman year at the University of Colorado, Boulder. A graduate of Naperville Central High School and a 2024 scholarship recipient, she has chosen to major in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
Isabelle Nobrega, a 2023 scholarship recipient, is a graduate of Naperville North High School. She is completing her sophomore year at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point majoring in wildlife ecology.
Joe Schroeder, a senior at Metea Valley High School who will attend either Oregon State University or UC San Diego majoring in Environmental Science.
Hannah Wilson, a senior at Oswego High School who will attend either Virginia Tech or the University of Illinois with a mojor in Environmental Horticulture with a minor in Landscape Design.
