Chicago Region Trees Initiative

Location: Arrowhead Golf Club

Mia Howerton, Stewardship Coordinator at the Morton Arboretum, will discuss the multiple benefits of trees.  She will focus on the state of our urban forests; what’s here and the challenges these forests face.  She will highlight the difference between our urban and our natural forests  and the benefits of walking among them.

About Cress Creek Garden Club of Naperville, Inc

The Cress Creek Garden Club of Naperville, Inc. was founded in 1975 by a group of neighbors and has grown to include members from Naperville and many nearby communities.

Mission

Our purpose is to;

  • encourage the beautification and general improvement of Naperville and the surrounding communities,

  • to stimulate gardening and artistic interest, 

  • to develop horticultural knowledge,

  • to support conservation,

  • to provide scholarships for students,

  • and to support local charities.

Vision

 The club is organized and operated exclusively for purposes to be beneficial, charitable, educational and useful to the community within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
