We had a very educational and fun tour of The Conservation Foundation’s non-profit McDonald Farm today. The suddenly cool and windy weather gave us pause at first—(note the jackets and blankets)but all turned out well.
Land Conservation Specialist Jim Kleinwachter gave us a very detailed picture of this hometown gem that dates back to the 1800’s. There’s much to be learned from their website, and people are free to take their own tour, as paper maps are available at the front of the property. The house and its original kitchen, used by donor Lenore McDonald are pictured. It was nice to enjoy some cameraderie at lunch later. A great day!
